Ticketmaster wishes everyone happy holidays and a happy new year!
2020 is almost behind us and we are looking forward for a more optimistic 2021. As we are approaching 2021, we would like to share some happy moments for our team from this year.
Our Ticketmaster Family grew
This year we welcomed in our Ticketmaster family new partners both from the sports and the cultural worlds. Promitheas BC, ARIS FC, Ilias Lalaounis Jewlery Museum and many more trusted our state-of-the-art ticketing technology and our innovations to make the buying process of their fans easier.
Introduced new innovations
Ticketmaster introduced a series of innovations where the fans can return to stadiums and live events easier and safer. Learn more about this from our case studies in Belgium with Pro League and in Qatar with Qatar Stars League.

Earned the Eamonn O’Connor Award
Eamonn O’Connor has been an irreplaceable part of the Ticketmaster family for more than 30 years and was an inspiring, entertaining, talented and truly unique personality. Anyone who knew Eamonn, as a colleague or a friend, will have been unforgettably touched by the Eamonn O’Connor magic.
Since him, at Ticketmaster we want to recognise exceptional achievements across our International business each year. Every year we all of the team across the world chooses one teammate for last year’s effort. The winner of the 2019 Eamonn O’Connor Award was George Efthimiou, the Product Manager from our office here in Athens!
George has been described by his colleagues as “a walking encyclopaedia” when it comes to the Sports XT platforms. He has a positive, can-do approach to work, faces every situation with a smile and is a real motivator to anyone he works with.
When asked how he feels for his win he said: “2019 was undoubtedly a very good year for Ticketmaster Sport. Winning the Eamonn O’Connor Award for this so successful year fills me with joy, gratitude and even more will for new challenges! This award though, is not only a personal recognition but also a team achievement for everyone contributed to all the projects we run. There is a big number of colleagues from the Athens office and abroad that rightfully own a piece of this award. So, many congratulations to every single of us for this huge success, many congratulations to everyone that has been nominated for this award and of course many “thank you” to everyone who supported me these years.”
